PROJECT 2
PRODUCTION SHOOT
In this project, we are going to shoot as a group and edit individually. We are divided into 2 teams, team B and team S. Team B is going to shoot according to the Netflix series, "Beef"; while team S is going shoot according to the Japanese drama named "Silent". This assignment aims to explore students to production shooting and editing environment.
I am in team B. We are provided with the storyboard, which include the shots we need to shoot as a group. We divided our roles in the class.
My role is location sound, responsible for recording the character's dialogue.
Before the shoot we determine the schedule and the scenes, locations, and lines. This way we don't waste time. Afterwards, we will follow the plan of which scene to shoot first.We were lucky because the shoot ended up going really well.
We shot the video and then edited it together. And add dialogue from the actors. and background music and color corrected.
Mr Martin wanted us to add rolling credits on the video which include the roles of each group member.

We wrote the short video idea in a Google Slides template including a short introduction about ourselves, a description of the video idea, some music to use and created a mood board
Since I don't really like going out, what I want to show is how I spend a day off in my dormitory, and I will be shooting with my phone and tripod.
I then adjusted the color grading of each scene and added background music.

Production Shoot
This project requires teamwork. I serve as Locatin cound in this team. I need to cooperate with another partner to ensure that the actor's voice can be recorded. I think observing the filming is a very interesting experience and process. I also understand In a video, the beat, rhythm and color background, music, and editing are all very important. They must fit in with the storyline to present a perfect video, which I find very interesting.

For this project, I had no clue at the beginning. I didn’t know what to shoot because it was difficult for me to imagine that the protagonist in the storyboard and video content was myself. Later, I looked at many other people’s works and finally had some ideas. inspiration. So I think sometimes when there is no inspiration, we can observe more other people's works and learn more about each other's strengths. In this class, I also learned about color correction, which made me more familiar with PR tools.
