FINAL PROJECT: STOP MOTION
Favourite Stop Motion Videos
Mr. Martin asked us to choose 3 favorite stop motion videos for our final project
1.DISTORTION. A Stop motion Animation by Guldies
This type of stop-motion animation gave me the opportunity to realize scenes that I imagined as a child. To give form to our then bizarre thoughtsIt provides us with unlimited abilities to explore things beyond this world and fascinates us into an unfamiliar dimension.
2.Western Spaghetti
Through the creative use of various props, food is transformed into an integral part of a spaghetti western that is both humorous and impressive
3.Negative Space | Oscar Nominated Stop-Motion Animation
I love the scene where the boy swims under an ocean of clothes where belt undulates like a snake, pantie swims as a fish & pants flow with the water as seaweeds do. How creative humans can be. A short yet touching story of a father-son relationship through the art of packing.Idea Proposals
When I was watching short videos, I accidentally saw a piece of news about the pollution of the ocean. So I told my partner that we should take a photo because humans do not care for the ocean and throw all kinds of garbage into the sea. Because of our garbage, the lives of marine animals are threatened. We made this video to hope that humans will pay attention to protecting the ocean.
WORKING TITLE: Stop motion of marine ecological environment pollution
SYNOPSIS:
‘Humans throw garbage into the ocean, which oppresses the environment of marine life and causes some marine life to be implicated and die.Two dolphins were playing when the baby dolphin got trapped in rubbish. So the big dolphin went to find its little friend to rescue it, but when the little dolphin was rescued, it had already died. This group of friends was very sad, recalling how the ocean was the most beautiful in the beginning. Because of humans, the environment has become worse and worse, and there are fewer and fewer friends around them. Ocean pollution is also becoming more and more serious.
Storyboard
We plan to buy a fish prop, and then use plasticine to make some scene needs. After that, we will use stop-motion animation, a tripod and a mobile phone to shoot.
I shot a total of more than 30 seconds of video, and then I started editing and adding some background music. Since there was a section in the middle that was the memories of the fish, we found some tutorials on the Internet to make the video a little blurry, giving people a sense of The feeling of memories, and some subtitles at the end.
Then we made complete adjustments to the video

REFLECTION
I think this project is a challenging but creative experience for me, because all its frameworks need to be carefully planned, we also need to carefully adjust every element and prop, and the story also needs to come up with a complete, unique Logical. This tests my imagination. After that, we need to add some background colors to this video, some special effects, some sound effects, and subtitles. The entire iterative process of shooting, reviewing, and perfecting is a test of one's patience. Although this process is very complicated, our work may not be perfect, and there are some flaws in the shooting, but I still think this project is very interesting and allows me to learn a lot about shooting works. When he asked us to make up a story, I also found it a little difficult. But I still find it interesting.
